First Consult for iPhone and iPad users is now available with library MDConsult subscription.
First Consult is a quick-reference clinical decision support resource that delivers evidence-based answers in a succinct format. An internationally renowned editorial team and physician-specialist authors continually update content with a leading level of evidence.
A data connection is required for the initial content download and content updates, but is not required to use the app itself.
To access First Consult, you must initially create an account with MDConsult. Start from the library website and create an account with MDConsult by accessing it either from the Databases list or Medicine: Databases tab. After you create an account, go to the iTunes store (search for First Consult) and download the app. You can then immediately begin browsing the point-of-care content and detailed diagnosis and treatment information.
