SBU Center for Digital Humanities will host a collaborative map-a-thon challenge in a virtual-only Zoom event open to anyone at SBU.
Participants can drop in at any time, stay as long as they like, and help contribute to efforts to geo-rectify digitized images of hand drawn scrapbooks depicting the train lines of the LIRR and surrounding points of interest. No prior mapping knowledge is necessary! CDH volunteers will help instruct participants in the simple use of georeferencer.com
