On December 9th, Stony Brook University Libraries welcomed Brenda Polis to our staff. Brenda is the Executive Assistant to the Library Dean of Stony Brook University Libraries, Constantia Constantinou. Before coming to the library, Brenda was the Administrative Assistant in the Dean’s Office in the School of Medicine. Prior to working at Stony Brook University, Brenda held various administrative assistant positions at William Floyd High School. She was an Assistant to the Library Chair and was the District-Wide Library Secretary for all eight schools in the District. Her love of working with people and the experience gained at the library at William Floyd High School drew her to this current position. She received her BA in Economics with a Minor in Business Management from Stony Brook University. Brenda loves to cook, travel, enjoys the beach and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Welcome Brenda, we are happy to have you join us!
