SBU Libraries was delighted to welcome Provost Michael A. Bernstein yesterday afternoon for a visit.
Dr. Bernstein joined Dean Constantinou and the Research and User Engagement team for an overview of the libraries’ research, engagement, instruction, and outreach activities.
With finals in full-swing we also toured the newly renovated Central and North Reading Rooms to give the Provost a taste of daily research and study activities in the Melville Library. As students were hard at work preparing for the end of the semester, we explored our flexible seating areas, quiet study areas, collaborative work spaces and got a feel for the myriad ways the library functions as the hub for scholarly activity and learning on campus.
We look forward to hosting him again soon.
Welcome, again, to Dr. Bernstein!
