New Electronic Collections Available: EEBO

Over the past two years, the University Libraries has been able to purchase some key research collections of primary resources. One such resource is Early English Books Online (EEBO). It includes digital facsimile page images of virtually every work printed in England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales and British North America and works in English printed elsewhere from 1473-1700; in all more than 125,000 titles listed in Pollard & Redgrave’s Short-Title Catalogue (1475-1640) and Wing’s Short-Title Catalogue (1641-1700) and their revised editions . The digital format makes it possible to search all items in the collection by keyword, author, title, and various other search types.

Stay tuned to this page for updates on other electronic collections made available to the Stony Brook University community.
