The University Libraries is pleased to be part of the campus-wide Art Crawl on Friday, April 7 from 3pm-6pm. This free, guided tour of galleries begins at 3pm in the Charles B. Wang Center Zodiac Gallery, but please join us at any location.
Two areas in the Melville Library will feature vibrant and diverse works of art. Special Collections is participating again and showcasing “Revolutionary Long Island: Early Manuscripts, Maps, and Art;” collections that document the history of Long Island from the earliest settlers through the present, with a strong emphasis on the period of the American Revolution through the War of 1812 (1764-1812).
“Boisterous: Fine Arts Organization Student Exhibition” features art by talented Stony Brook University students, and is currently on view in the North Reading Room of the Melville Library.
No registration required. Free and open to the public. The Art Crawl is part of the Shirley Strum Kenny Arts Festival at Stony Brook University.
