Government Information Spotlight: Alexander Hamilton

Alexander Hamilton, dubbed “the ten dollar founding father without a father” by Lin-Manuel Miranda in his Tony Award winning play, Hamilton: An American Musical, was a major figure in American and New York politics in the late eighteenth century and is now a historical figure of great public interest. For those looking for reliable sources of information on the First Secretary of the Treasury, SBU Libraries has compiled key resources into a Government Information Spotlight: Hamilton subject guide highlighting primary sources, biographies, and databases in the Libraries‘ collections. Also included are links to sources of Hamilton’s frequent appearances in pop culture and resources on Aaron Burr, another New Yorker who played an important, and tragic, role in Hamilton’s story.
