A Cornucopia of Resources on America’s Bounty

Food in American culture may be on our minds this Thanksgiving, as we sit down to festive meals with family and friends. For those with an interest in learning more on the topic, Stony Brook University Libraries have a bounty of resources. Whether it’s The True History of Chocolate or a closer look at America’s Collectible Cookbooks: The History, The Politics, The Recipes, there are books that will pique your interest and your appetite. Still hungering for knowledge? The Libraries’ subject guide on Food in American Culture will also direct you to a collection of pertinent databases and websites on food and culture. Also, reference sources such as Encyclopedia of Food and Culture and A Dictionary of Food and Nutrition may be just your cup of tea.
