It’s that time of year again! ALA’s Banned Weeks Week falls at the end of September each year. The holiday, which bega
n yesterday, is meant to encourage us all to embrace our freedom to read. So please show your solidarity and send us a picture of you reading a banned book, or just come to CRR and take in some of the quotes we’ve posted from previously banned or challenged books – and pick up your free button while you’re here!

From ALA.org:
“[Banned Books Week] highlights the value of free and open access to information. Banned Books Week brings together the entire book community –- librarians, booksellers, publishers, journalists, teachers, and readers of all types –- in shared support of the freedom to seek and to express ideas, even those some consider unorthodox or unpopular.
