Congressional Tweets? #EnhancedResearch @SBULibraries

SBU Libraries‘ ProQuest Congressional database recently launched a newly redesigned interface with some engaging new enhancements such the ability to retrieve social media content from Senators, Representatives, and Federal agencies. The Political News & Social Media search can be filtered by a specific date or date range and limited by platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, blogs, press releases, and videos. Another option is to search by the originating source such as the Member of Congress or Federal Agency. A handy interface allows researchers to locate Members’ names by searching by whole or partial name, by term, by House or Senate affiliation, or by browsing an A-Z list. Search results identify topic, date, details of the originating source, along with full text links. There is also an option to modify the original search, to search within the results, and to email and print the results. All in all, another #greatresearchtool from SBU Libraries!
