SBU Libraries meet Stony Brook Ultimate Frisbee Team

On Wednesday, September 26th, Stony Brook’s Ultimate Frisbee Team met with some SBU Libraries staff members to introduce our new promotional Frisbee, bearing the University Logo,  our “Get Your Read On” slogan, and the web address for the library homepage.

We met on the lawn in front of the library, and some of us were shown how to toss a Frisbee correctly and improve our basic skills, or lack of skills. There were many interested students, and some unaware passersby  who joined in the fun, and got to keep our Frisbee for their efforts. Then it was on to the Staller Lawn to watch the team show us some of their skills using their own professional Frisbees. For those who are unfamiliar with the team, “Panic is the  name of the Ultimate Frisbee club here at Stony Brook University. The team is comprised of SBU students, both young men and women, looking to compete and have fun playing a sport they love” (Ultimate Frisbee Executive Board). Check out their Facebook page: “Stony Brook Ultimate Frisbee” or email at PanicUltimate@gmail.com for more information, and maybe join the team. Thanks for a great afternoon, Panic!
